Reporting in SAP BW Environments

Four-fifths of existing SAP customers in Germany had neither deployed SAP BW or mySAP Business Intelligence, nor had they planned to do so. By contrast, around 13% of the SAP user community in Germany had deployed a production BW/BI installation. At 2% of the companies surveyed, the BW component was at a pre-production stage. A further 4% had specific plans to deploy SAP BW or mySAP BI. It was clearly evident among the large corporations surveyed that SAP BW was mainly used in finance and in internal control. Around 90% of the existing SAP customers surveyed evidently use BW to compute and present financial figures.
